A charity for women and non-binary people
Amplifying marginalised voices, calling for positive change
Our Vision
A world where women have equity, flourish and live their fullest lives.
We collaborate with participants and artists whose voices have been ignored and produce uncompromising theatre and podcasts about stories that need to be heard. We are vocal about the issues that women and non-binary people face and create opportunities for artists and participants to drive debate and promote awareness.
We deliver our artistic mission by:
Creating and touring new writing productions and podcasts that amplify marginalised voices and call for positive change
Delivering long-term creative engagement programmes with and for marginalised women and non-binary people, with a particular focus on survivors of domestic abuse, in partnership with grassroots services
Collaborating with artists facing barriers because of inequalities in gender, race, class and other identities
Delivering professional development training to support self-reflective practice for social workers and professionals working in the arts.
Our Values
We work with dignity, respect, and compassion at our core. We nurture participants, artists, and partners without judgment and are committed to equitable access to the arts, particularly for those who have been excluded or need extra support to engage.
We champion the stories that have been pushed to the margins. We prioritise lesser heard voices: in our engagement work, which informs our productions, the writers we commission and our artistic collaborators. We are invested in sharing vital, authentic and challenging stories that demand to be witnessed - in sessions, podcasts and on stage.
We create spaces where women can take creative risks, grow in confidence, and be brave. We offer these opportunities to artists and participants who have had less access and opportunity in the arts.
We build fruitful partnerships in all our work. We collaborate with a diverse team of creatives and participants who are invested in their craft, the creative success of the whole team, and the project.
We hold a radical belief in the power of live theatre and creativity to heal, inspire, and transform. Hope is the heartbeat of our work, present in our plays, sessions, and in every story of reclamation and renewal.
